Pull out of Pakatan, council tells PAS
KOTA BARU: PAS should have some pride and pull out of Pakatan Rakyat after being belittled by coalition partner DAP over the hudud issue, says the Kelantan People’s Action Council (MTRK).
Azmi Ali, head of the MTRK, said the party was instead standing helplessly as DAP stalwarts Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng brand the party as a “back-stabber” and “treacherous”.
He said PAS should be considered a brother to the DAP and PKR in the coalition.
“But what is happening is that PAS is like a whipping boy to DAP and PKR who have no respect for its struggle to implement hudud in Kelantan,” he said.
“PAS must make a stand and stop the DAP’s uncouth barrage of unproven accusations,” said Azmi at a press conference at the MTRK office here yesterday.
PAS should also proceed to table its two private member’s Bills in Parliament to pave the way for hudud to be enforced in Kelantan, he said.
